We’ll have silent boxes! On the third weekend of September, we will install 4 silent boxes in the main space of Paper Hub, where you will be able to make calls undisturbed and in peace.

You can look forward to another barbecue, which will be held on the terrace on 08.09. at 17:00, unusually on Thursday. Of course, you can look forward to delicious food prepared by none other than Kate.

The right food makes the day. This months brunch will be held on September 20 at 11 am.Spread Thursday
Also returning to the program is the very popular Spread Thursday, which will take place… on Thursday 🙂 on September 15.
MeetUps
The previous meeting topics continue in the same rhythm, once every 14 days. The first one will be held on 07.09.2022 on Security and Privacy (in Czech), the second one on 21.07.2022 on Let’s talk crypto (in English), both starting at 6 pm. The event is free of charge for all those interested in the topics discussed. Individual events can be found in the calendar on the Paralelní Polis’ website.
However, we have added a new event, namely the Biohacking MeetUp – Tea Trip, which will take place on September 15 at 5 pm! “Do you know tea only as a bland hot drink in a paper bag? Or do you also know real tea, its health benefits and its use in biohacking and “altered states of consciousness”? Come and join us for a dip in the tea rabbit hole!”

Hackers Congress Paralelní Polis 2022 – Last Shot
We’ll end September with a bang hosting the 9th edition of Hackers Congress Paralelní Polis! It will be held 30.09. – 02.10. in the premises of Paralelní Polis and La Fabrika. This year’s theme is Last Shot.
Juraj Bednár, co-founder of Paralelní Polis and one of the organizers says about the upcoming Hackers Congress:
“The theme of this year’s congress is about tangoing between regulation and decentralized counterreaction. Regulation forms the shape and form of the decentralized ecosystem. Surveillance powers anonymization technologies, which in turn fuel further surveillance. Will this one-upping end up in someone firing the last shot and winning or is this going to be a perpetual dance? Is it possible to end this polarization, or will we end either in digital totality or in decentralized parallel societies?”
What is the structure of this conflict? Should cryptoanarchists listen to the gentlemen in suits, guest speakers of the world economic forum, and regulators? We are entering the most creative stage of the cryptocurrency cycle. The crypto winter is the time of building, fortifying, of cooperation. The bull that creates dreams is replaced by hard work. Are we heading for self-defense with shots fired or peaceful visionary progress?

Small Hub is lonely 🙁
The Small Hub has been sitting empty for a while now and although it is very popular for hire as a meeting room, its purpose is different.
